Global warming is one of the most pressing issues we face as an international community. Not only does it have tragic effects on ecosystems and the environment, but there are also tremendous consequences that directly affect humanity. With rising temperatures and increasing frequency and intensity of extreme weather events, It is predicted that by the year 2050 there could be up to 1 billion environmental refugees(4). By our current standards, we can expect the Earth's temperature to rise 3°C with Canada warming at an alarming 4 times faster than the rest of the world and Toronto specifically  will experience the fourth largest climate shift by 2050(3). It is our duty as citizens of the nature and the Earth to address global warming head-on for a more sustainable and resilient future. We are at a crossroad with two options: either we continue down this reckless path or we rise above and implement the necessary policy, infrastructure and innovation through collaboration to ensure a clean and sustainable future. This virtual exhibit is designed to educate and visually communicate the potential tragedies of climate change in Canada with a strong focus on the city of Toronto and to provide hope for the future if the necessary changes are implemented.
